St. Patty's Day Mud Run at Muskingum Family YMCA at Littick Hall

A muddy run at the OUZ/ZS trails on St. Patrick's Day. While the course is TBD the race will be ~3-4 miles. There will be individual awards and a team award (team consists of 2 guys and 2 girls). Runners participating as a team will still be eligiable for the individual awards.See More

Volunteers needed to walk the South Zanesville Parade route

I was contacted by the South Zanesville Business Association and asked if I knew anyone who would be interested in walking the parade route during the parade.  The parade stops 8 times so that groups can perform in front of the stage and they use the walkers to stop and start the parade. This would be after the parade run so if anyone is interested in doing both you would be able to.  Please let me know if you can help, they still need 5 volunteers for this. Tim Rucker319-4109See More

Fitness training in the Zanesville area.

In June I am going to start training in Zanesville full-time (no more driving to New Albany!) so I would like to start a discussion about the kind of training people would like to see in Zanesville.  One topic that keeps coming up in other discussions is agility training for youths, focusing mostly on proper body mechanics.  TGS already does a good job teaching sprint technique with their summer track series but outside of that I am not aware of much youth skill training for…See More

Leaf Peepers tour

Hello Everyone!... just sending 'Eventful' updates ...

Need Help getting teams involved in the Y-City mile... including corporate teams (registration is $15.... $150 for a team of 10 top 3 teams get a trophy)...How about some Teacher Teams? Fitness Teams? Church Teams? College Greek System or Friends Teams? Get a group of friends to make a team! :) Let's get the word out!

"Corporate" Teams:
*Kalico Kourt is back! They were wonderful last year- they all dressed up!!!!

*John Glenn Middle School Cheerleaders- and maybe the High School Cheerleaders

The Y-City Mile is a fundraiser for all competing teams... who need a fundraiser... including cheerleading squads, arsenal soccer teams, marching bands, gymnastic teams, and dance teams. Please help get the word out! Applications can be downloaded online.

Y-City Mile Team Fundraiser Rules: Need 80 people (friends, family, to register under their team name and a minimum of 10 people at the race with one mascot... to receive $1,000 on September 5th.

Listen to the Music concert at the Welcome Center
Team Godspeed is the Charity of the Month... we're at the door collecting money- TGS table-and watching the show... :)

The White Elephant Run (5k and mile)
When: Aug 15th at 9am race begins at 10
Where: The Landing in downtown Zanesville
Cost: $10 White Elephant Gift
Why? Just for fun, family and fitness... and laughter :)

The Y-City Mile
When: September 5th
Where: Welcome Center
Time: 4:00--Race begins at 6pm
Cost: $15 and $10 dollars for TGS members
Set-up, Registration, Street control

October 24th
Freedom Run-in Honor of Brad Harper
When: October 24th
Where: Dresden
Time: 10 am
Cost: $18 and $20 on race day
Set-up, take down, TGS tent, Awards for the fitness series
