$8,100 Donated from the Y-City Mile!

Congrats to all the runners, volunteers, sponsors, sports teams and charities! The 2009 Y-City Mile is in the books. We set a RECORD year in proceeds that were given out - over $8,100. What an remarkable and well-deserved gift to the local community. More news about race results including photos will be posted soon. Thanks again to everyone involved!

What an amazing day!

Thank you to all of our sponsors and to everyone who helped achieve the goals of the Team GodSpeed Y-City Mile!

It took many hands to complete all of the many tasks throughout the whole process... which created many memories within our own team ~and I cherish every moment ...especially the 'bagging' of the pre-packet pick up in my garage! I am humbled by the response of the sponsors, volunteers, and participants. I will not forget 'the look' of the crowd as awards were being distributed from the fastest mascot sprinter... to the oldest shoe award...to the age-group medals... to the Pepsi Scholarship Challange and lastly, to the Team Challenge awards... as it was an honor to have been a part of this day.

Thanks again to everyone who supported, volunteered, and participated to make this day a huge success! I'm already thinking of next year!
